| Terry Cheese, Innovation and Relationship Manager for MITIE’s security business, has been awarded the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) Chairman’s award for his contribution to training in the security industry. Terry has been with MITIE since September 2007. During his time at MITIE he has shared his passion for training and development design and delivery, and has transformed MITIE’s security business’ approach to training and development for its people, and service excellence for its clients.

As an
experienced learning and development specialist, Terry set about developing
internal training programmes for officers and operations managers as well as
driving the creation of bespoke training for clients, tailored to their specific
needs and environments. Terry’s strategy has addressed the importance of
improving standards within MITIE and the industry through innovative training
and coaching programmes to enhance skill sets and capability. These training and
development initiatives are industry-leading.
