BIIAB, the awarding body of BII, the professional body for the licensed retail industry, is holding its 4 Annual National Conference at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Thursday 18 February 2010. For the first time, the conference will also host the BII NITA awards ceremony, where excellence in training will receive worthy recognition from the industry’s professional body.
The licensed
retail trade continues to evolve through this period of unprecedented change and
the qualifications landscape faces significant restructuring as the new
Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) comes into play. As a result of these
changes, many business opportunities are emerging for trainers operating in the
vibrant licensed hospitality industry. The focus of this year’s BIIAB conference
is on how to maximise these opportunities in order to boost business and grow
customer base. The high profile line-up of speakers will cover all the hot
topics of the day, including:
·
New Business Opportunities from BIIAB – Cathie Smith, Director of BIIAB
·
Changes to the Security Industry Portfolio – Tony Holyland, Competence
Development Manager for the SIA
·
What the Sector Skills Network means to the industry – John McNamara, Chief
Executive of the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils
·
The Digital Environment – Jonathan Stemp, BII Director of ICT
·
Statistics that could help your Business – Katy Moses, Business Development
Manager from him!
·
PR for your business in 2010 – Andrew Pring, Editor of BIIBUSINESS
The conference
will begin with registration at 9.30am and is scheduled to finish at 2pm.
Tickets cost just £55 per delegate. With just under a month to go until the
event, the booking deadline is Friday 5 February so time is of the essence.
